Moroccan international Soufiane Rahimi continues to cement his prominent position within the UAE club Al Ain, having risen to seventh place on the list of the team’s all-time top scorers in the UAE Pro League, confirming once again that he is one of the most successful foreign signings to join “Al Za’eem” in recent years.
This remarkable rise of Soufiane Rahimi in the scorers’ rankings came after he scored a brilliant double in the resounding 5-0 victory over Al Dhafra, raising his league goal tally to 46 since joining Al Ain in 2021.
With this achievement, Rahimi surpassed notable names associated with the club’s history, such as Omar Abdulrahman “Amouri” and Saif Sultan, proving his ability to make history in a short period.
Despite the relatively short time he has spent at Al Ain compared to some club legends, Soufiane Rahimi has managed to firmly establish himself among the most influential players, benefiting from his continuous scoring form and significant improvement in offensive efficiency.
The most prominent achievement in Rahimi’s journey with “Al Za’eem” is his historic contribution to winning the AFC Champions League title for the 2023-2024 season, where he led the team to the championship with an exceptional performance, finishing as the tournament’s top scorer with 13 goals, in addition to receiving the Best Player award of the competition.
With only seven goals remaining to match Salem Johar, who holds sixth place on the all-time top scorers list, Soufiane Rahimi’s chances to continue climbing this prestigious list at Al Ain seem very promising.
It is worth noting that if Rahimi maintains the same outstanding scoring pace, he will remain one of the most prominent stars of the UAE Pro League and one of the most distinguished Moroccan players performing outside Europe.
