Silvio Fontana, the agent of the Bolivian player Moises Baniaga, revealed in an exclusive statement to the kooralife website some information related to his client’s situation at Wydad Athletic Club, confirming that the player is going through a complicated period due to lingering financial and administrative issues with the club.

Fontana explained in exclusive remarks that Baniaga had to temporarily leave Morocco due to urgent family circumstances, noting that the player is also suffering from an injury that will temporarily keep him away from competitive play, with an expected return next Sunday.

The agent confirmed that he traveled to Morocco to negotiate with Wydad officials to find a solution for the financial crisis related to the player’s transfer deal, clarifying that the contract includes a mandatory purchase clause after the player participates in two matches, yet the club has not transferred the deal amount to the player’s original team in Bolivia.

He added that the Bolivian team is still waiting to receive an amount close to two million dollars, highlighting that there are also outstanding financial dues related to the player himself, which have not been received so far.

Fontana pointed out that the Bolivian club may resort to the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) if the situation continues unresolved, which prompted him to enter into direct negotiations with Wydad’s management to try to amicably close this file.

The agent also expressed surprise at the few minutes Baniaga has played since joining the team, confirming that the player has not had enough opportunity to showcase his technical abilities, adding that the upcoming month will be crucial in determining his future, especially with other offers interested in his services.

In a related context, Fontana clarified that he has no details regarding the rumored rejection of an offer worth four million dollars, denying knowledge of any official negotiations of this kind.

The agent concluded by confirming that Baniaga, along with his compatriot Ramiro Vaca, will join the Bolivian national team during the upcoming international break in June, despite the Moroccan league continuing during that period.
