Moroccan defender Shadi Riyadh expressed his immense happiness for his effective contribution to his team Crystal Palace’s winning of the UEFA Conference League title, after their victory over the Spanish team Rayo Vallecano. Shadi Riyadh pointed out that the confidence given to him by the coach following his outstanding performance against Arsenal was decisive in his starting participation in the final match.

In exclusive statements to press reports, Riyadh explained that his feeling of participating in the final crystallized after the Arsenal match, where he received praise from the coach for his high-level performance. He added that the ankle injury of his teammate created an opportune moment for him, affirming that winning the title was a crowning achievement for the entire team’s efforts.

After discussing the final, Shadi Riyadh touched on his close relationship with his compatriot and childhood friend Elias Achmach, highlighting the depth of their friendship since childhood. Riyadh revealed that both had suffered anterior cruciate ligament injuries in previous periods, wishing Achmach all the best in his football journey.

In a related context, Shadi Riyadh is currently one of the important names in the final list called up by the national coach Mohammed Wahbi to participate in the 2026 World Cup finals, which confirms his growing status in Moroccan and European football.
