The management of Hassania Agadir club has officially requested to host Raja Athletic Club outside their home ground, within the Round of 16 of the Throne Cup competition. This request aims to move the match to the Green March Stadium in Safi, due to the closure of Adrar Complex in Agadir, which is currently undergoing comprehensive maintenance and development in preparation for hosting the 2030 FIFA World Cup finals, which Morocco will co-host with Spain and Portugal.
According to press reports, the desire of Hassania Agadir’s management to play at the Green March Stadium comes as part of the arrangements for the Throne Cup match, before a final decision is made regarding the stadium that will host the Souss team’s matches in the professional league next football season. Hassania Agadir is expected to play all their matches next season away from their primary stadium, as the ongoing renovations at Adrar Complex may take more than 18 months.
Hassania Agadir qualified for the Round of 16 of the Throne Cup after an exciting victory over Chabab Al Mersa, an amateur club, by a score of three goals to two. Meanwhile, Raja Athletic secured their place in the same round by defeating Chabab Al Massira 2-0.
