Today, the national coach Mohamed Wahbi revealed, in a press conference at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Rabat, the official squad of the Moroccan national team participating in the 2026 World Cup finals.

The squad includes 26 players who will represent the Atlas Lions in the most prominent football event, hosted for the first time by the United States of America, Canada, and Mexico with 48 teams participating.

The final lineup of the “Atlas Lions” features notable names such as Yassine Bounou and Munir Mohamedi in goal, in addition to defensive stars Achraf Hakimi, Noussair Mazraoui, and Nayef Aguerd.

In midfield, Soufiane Amrabat, Aziz El Ouahi, and Bilal El Khannous stand out.

Leading the attack are Ibrahim Diaz, Soufiane Rahimi, and Ayoub El Kaabi.

The national coach also announced a reserve list including three players: Mehdi Harar, Amin Sabai, and Marwan Saadan, to be ready if needed.

The Moroccan team will start its 2026 World Cup journey with a strong and anticipated match against the Brazilian team on Saturday, June 13.

This match is a real test for the capabilities and ambitions of the Atlas Lions in the tournament, especially after their exceptional performance in the Qatar 2022 World Cup, where they reached the semi-finals as the first Arab and African team to achieve this historic milestone.

Moroccan football fans are eagerly looking forward to watching their national team’s performance in the 2026 World Cup, hoping to replicate or even surpass the Qatar achievement.

The fans rely on the fighting spirit and high skills that the players possess, in addition to the experience gained from previous participations, to advance in the global tournament and present an honorable image of Moroccan football.
