The Morocco U-17 national team has officially qualified for the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2026, following their victory today over the Egyptian team with a score of 2-1.

This precious win, which took place at the Mohammed VI Football Complex, secured the “Lions Cubs” their spot in the upcoming global event.

This achievement reflects the diligent work and high-level performances delivered by the players throughout the qualifiers.

This qualification represents an important step for Moroccan football, with the Morocco U-17 team topping Group A solidly and deservedly with 7 points, ahead of Egypt who placed second with 4 points, Ethiopia who came third with the same points, and Tunisia at the bottom with just one point.

The Morocco U-17 team is now preparing for a tough quarter-final match against Cameroon.

The Cameroonian team finished second in Group B, behind the leader Ivory Coast.

The Atlas Lions Cubs seek to continue their strong performances in the tournament and to affirm their high standing in continental and international competitions, with great ambition to achieve positive results at the Qatar 2026 World Cup.
