Today marked the commencement of the ordinary and extraordinary general assemblies of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation at the Mohammed VI Complex, with the presence of a host of national sports figures.
Fouzi Lekjaa, the federation’s president, confirmed that this gathering comes within the framework of ongoing reforms in Moroccan football, emphasizing the importance of continuing this developmental path. This meeting reflects the keenness to achieve a qualitative leap in the national football scene.
Lekjaa began his speech by expressing the highest gratitude and appreciation to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, praising the unlimited support and special attention His Majesty gives to sports, especially football.
He noted that the royal patronage is a main incentive for all workers in the sector and confirms that Moroccan football is not just a sport but a comprehensive national development project led by His Majesty the King. This royal gesture enhances the status of Moroccan football on the international stage.
In the same context, the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation commended the efforts made by clubs, regional leagues, officials, and technical and administrative staff, affirming that their sacrifices are the primary driver for advancing Moroccan football.
He also stressed the necessity to continue these combined efforts to elevate Moroccan football to global competitiveness, especially with the approaching date of hosting the 2030 World Cup, for which the Kingdom of Morocco is preparing.
The assemblies concluded with unanimous approval of the proposed amendments to the federation’s statutes, which aim to keep pace with the new dynamics in developing the football system.
The proceedings ended with the reading of a loyalty and devotion message to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, expressing the embodiment of the steadfast commitment of the national football family to the glorious Throne and their full readiness to contribute to achieving the desired goals.
