The Royal Army team mission heads today to Pretoria via a special flight from Rabat-Salé Airport, in preparation to face their host Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa, in the eagerly awaited first leg of the CAF Champions League final.
The military team is scheduled to have two intensive training sessions in South Africa.
The first session will be on Friday, followed by the second session on Saturday on the turf of Loftus Versveld Stadium, which will host the anticipated final match between the Royal Army and Mamelodi Sundowns.
The first leg match between Mamelodi Sundowns and the Royal Army will take place on Sunday, May 17, 2026, starting at 3 PM Moroccan time. The decisive second leg match will be held in the capital Rabat on May 24, starting at 8 PM.
It is noteworthy that the Royal Army qualified for this final after defeating Renaissance Berkane, while Mamelodi Sundowns reached it by beating Espérance Tunis.
