Raja Sports Club achieved an important and deserved away win over Maghreb Fasi by two goals to nil, in the match that took place yesterday, Wednesday, at the Sports Complex in Fez, as part of the 19th round of the professional league.
This victory strengthened Raja Sports Club’s lead and confirmed the team’s readiness before the anticipated derby.
Nigerian Mathias Oyusey opened the scoring for the Eagles in the 20th minute of the first half, putting Raja Sports Club ahead.
In the second half, Ayoub Al-Almoud doubled the score in the 53rd minute, giving his team the advantage which they skillfully maintained until the final whistle, confirming Raja Sports Club’s control of the match proceedings.
With this win, Raja Sports Club ended Maghreb Fasi’s streak of positive results, handing them their first defeat this season, and rose to the top of the standings with 39 points, ahead of Maghreb Fasi who dropped to second place with 38 points, making the title race even more exciting.
