The Moroccan national team delegation arrived in America this morning, specifically in the state of New Jersey, to participate in the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
The Atlas Lions were welcomed by the Moroccan Ambassador Youssef El Omrani and the Consul, along with members of the Moroccan community who were keen to be present to provide support and encouragement to the players, hoping for an honorable World Cup participation befitting the reputation of Moroccan football.
This step follows a warm farewell held at the Rabat Salé Airport, where the President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Fouzi Lekjaa, bid farewell to the delegation, affirming the provision of all necessary capabilities and conditions to continue the brilliance of Moroccan football on the global level.
The delegation is headed technically by Mr. Hassan El Filali, and Lekjaa is expected to join the team later before the crucial match against Brazil to directly support the national players and provide the necessary moral support.
It is worth noting that the Moroccan national team is entering this tournament with high spirits, especially after the wide 4-0 victory over Madagascar in a recent friendly match.
That match witnessed the brilliance of Ismail Sbari, Sofiane Rahimi, and Ayoub El Kaabi, who took turns scoring the goals.
The Atlas Lions are preparing for a final friendly against Norway next Sunday, which will serve as the final rehearsal before their official World Cup debut against Brazil.
The Moroccan national team is placed in the strong Group C, alongside Brazil, Scotland, and Haiti.
The Moroccan fans eagerly look forward to seeing the team’s performance in this tough group, hoping to repeat past achievements and deliver a performance befitting their aspirations and hopes in this grand global football event.
