Khafifi, a player from Raja Athletic Club, confirmed that the upcoming Raja vs Wydad derby match carries a special and different flavor compared to other encounters, while also pointing out that his team will continue fighting fiercely to maintain the top spot in the professional league standings.
In press statements given by Khafifi following an important 2-0 victory against the Royal Army team in the 19th round of the professional league, he said: “Raja is known for winning titles, and it is not new for it to lead the league table. We well understand the value of these matches, especially the Raja vs Wydad derby, which is a big challenge, but we are ready for it.”
He continued, explaining: “We fully realized the magnitude of the last match which was not easy at all. We faced a tough opponent who had not been defeated before facing us, and their first defeat came at our hands. It is a strong team and not easy to surpass.”
He added, confirming his team’s readiness both mentally and technically: “We came into the match against Maghreb Fassi with one goal, which was to win, and we succeeded in precisely following the coach’s instructions. The victory against Maghreb Fassi was very important, and all the players are determined to continue working hard to maintain our position at the top of the standings.”
Regarding the derby, Khafifi confirmed that: “The derby has a special taste, and we will work hard to stay at the top, God willing.”
