Former Moroccan international Mustafa Haji confirmed that the national team has all the qualities and opportunities to deliver a remarkable performance in the 2026 World Cup.

Haji explained that Brazil’s presence in the “Atlas Lions” group will not make their mission more difficult, pointing out that the Brazilian team has lost much of its former strength that was evident in the France World Cup and the editions it won.

The 1998 World Cup star added that “Brazil is the one who should fear facing Morocco in their group,” which was reflected in Brazilian media reports expressing their concerns about the national team’s stars.

These statements come in the wake of the historic friendly victory of the “Atlas Lions” over the “Samba Dancers” with a score of two goals to one at Ibn Batouta Stadium in Tangier.

It is noteworthy that the Brazilian team was eliminated early from the Qatar 2022 World Cup, while the Moroccan team achieved a historic feat by reaching the semi-finals and finishing fourth globally.

The Moroccan team is currently in the third World Cup group alongside the teams of Brazil, Scotland, and Haiti.
