Today, the spotlight is on the transfer deal of Lamirate to Nahdat Berkane, as press reports revealed that Abdelghafour Lamirate, Wydad Athletic Club player, has waived 40 million centimes of his overdue financial dues from his former team, Wydad, to facilitate his transfer to Nahdat Berkane during the current summer transfer window.
This unexpected step came after the management office of Wydad AC agreed to facilitate the player’s departure, due to the team having a large number of players in the defensive midfield position, currently including Yahya Jebrane, the Congolese Joseph Bakasso, Ryan Mahtou, Mohamed Munsafm, and Naeim Biyar, which opens the way for Lamirate to seek a bigger playing opportunity.
Wydad had signed Abdelghafour Lamirate in the last summer transfer as a free agent, after his contract ended with his former club Olympic Safi. Lamirate’s transfer to Nahdat Berkane is the first for the Berkane club this summer, which has not made any new signings so far, while it is considering recalling its defenders Dayo and Tahif to strengthen the defense line.
