Abdelfattah Haddraf, a player of the Royal Army team, confirmed his team’s full readiness to achieve the African Champions League title, stressing the team’s intense focus before the highly anticipated match against South African Sundowns.
This statement comes as part of the preparations for the second leg of the final match to be held at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
Haddraf commented on the second leg match by saying: “The final is won, not played, and there is complete focus from the players, the technical staff, and the fans to achieve a title that has been missing from our trophies for 41 years.”
He pointed out that the team will play on its home ground, which will provide better conditions compared to the first leg, where they suffered from the poor pitch conditions in South Africa.
He emphasized that the presence of the “12th player,” the large crowd, will be a great stimulus and a main motivation for winning and making the fans and families, who eagerly await this title, happy.
It is worth mentioning that Morocco’s representative, the Royal Army team, returned from South Africa with a narrow 1-0 loss to Sundowns.
Despite this loss, the Moroccan team has the ability to rectify the result and achieve victory in the upcoming second leg on Sunday at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat, benefiting from the factors of home ground and crowd support to turn the tables and win the precious continental title.
