North International Cycling Tour (Stage Four): Moroccan Salah Eddine Amraoui crowned stage winner and takes the yellow jersey from South African Joshua Ethan Dyke.
The fourth stage of the 4th North International Cycling Tour, which linked the cities of Chefchaouen and Ouezzane today, Saturday, over a distance of 83.3 km, was marked by the brilliance of Moroccan cyclist Salah Eddine Amraoui, a professional at the (Al-Ula) club in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He rightfully won the stage and dethroned South African cyclist Joshua Ethan Dyke from the overall individual classification lead, which he had held since the first stage, thereby taking the yellow jersey.
Amraoui finished ahead of his compatriot and national team mate Kamal Mahrouk and the Spaniard Cuétrez Ibáñez Diego from the (Natural Greatness) team, a Spanish professional squad, in a race characterized by excellent sporting atmosphere and fierce competition among the different national teams and participating clubs. This reflects the ongoing success of this international sporting event and confirms the strong presence of Moroccan cyclists and their readiness to face upcoming continental, regional, and international challenges.
Regarding the jerseys, Salah Eddine Amraoui took the yellow jersey from South African Joshua Dyke Ethan, the 2025 African champion for the under-23 category and member of the Spanish professional team (Natural Greatness), as well as winning the jersey awarded to the best mountain climber. Meanwhile, the blue jersey, given to the best young rider of the tour, was awarded to Spanish cyclist Cuétrez Ibáñez Diego from the (Natural Greatness) team.
It is worth noting that Amraoui had previously won the fourth stage of the 21st edition of the Benin International Tour, held from April 27 to May 2, where the Moroccan team was crowned overall team champion.
The title of the fourth edition of the North International Cycling Tour, held from May 13 to 17 in commemoration of the 23rd birthday of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Moulay Hassan, is contested by national teams and international clubs representing several sister and friendly countries, including the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, France, Spain, the Netherlands, and Belgium.
The fifth and final stage of the fourth edition of the North Tour will take place tomorrow, Sunday, linking the cities of Ksar El Kebir and Tangier over a distance of 117.3 km.
It is recalled that the title of the third edition of the North Tour, held from November 18 to 23, 2024, went to Moroccan champion Youssef Badadou, who was then a professional with the (Al Salam Saudi Sports) team.
