As part of ongoing preparations for the highly anticipated edition, the Confederation of African Football (CAF), in cooperation with organizing committees in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, concluded an intensive promotional tour for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations. This tour, which took place from September 14 to 18, targeted the three host countries of the major continental event, aiming to showcase the tremendous commercial value of the tournament and attract sponsorships and partnerships.
The tour featured a series of workshops and meetings with elite economic players in vital sectors such as banking, aviation, telecommunications, tourism, technology, and trade. During these meetings, CAF officials highlighted the massive scale of the tournament, its wide reach, and its ability to attract global attention, emphasizing the golden opportunities available to brands, whether local or international, to be part of one of the world’s premier sporting events.
On its part, press reports confirmed that CAF seeks to enhance the Africa Cup of Nations’ status as a global sporting product, citing the exceptional success of the Morocco 2025 edition. This edition witnessed an unprecedented 95% increase in commercial revenues, a total television viewership of 3.2 billion, in addition to a record 23 sponsorship partners, reflecting the tournament’s great appeal.
The promotional tour focused on highlighting the advantages for commercial partners before, during, and after the tournament through various marketing and activation activities. Special spaces were also allocated for bilateral meetings with brands interested in signing agreements and partnerships in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. The highly awaited finals of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations are scheduled to take place between June 19 and July 17, 2027, amid great anticipation for another historic edition.
