Brazil won a friendly match against Egypt with a score of two goals to one in the friendly encounter held today between the two teams, as part of the Samba Dancers’ preparations for the 2026 World Cup finals. The match took place at Huntington Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, and witnessed competitiveness and enthusiasm from both sides.

The first half saw a fast start from the Brazilian team, with Bruno Guimarães opening the scoring in the eighth minute. Brazil’s lead did not last long, as Zico equalized for the Egyptian team just four minutes later, bringing the match back to a tie. Goalkeeper Mostafa Shobair was outstanding with a crucial save from Vinícius Júnior’s one-on-one chance in the twenty-sixth minute, and Yasser Ibrahim prevented a certain goal before halftime ended with a positive draw.

At the start of the second half, Egypt’s head coach Hossam Hassan made several substitutions to boost performance, notably bringing in Mohamed Salah and Mohamed Abdel Moneim. However, Brazil regained the lead in the fifty-second minute with a goal from their striker Andrik da Souza, who took advantage of a precise cross and powerfully shot the ball into the net. Despite Egypt’s attempts to come back through the efforts of Mohamed Salah and Omar Marmoush, Brazil’s defense held strong and maintained their lead until the final whistle.

This match holds special significance for the Moroccan team, who will face Brazil in their opening match at the 2026 World Cup finals. This friendly win indicates Brazil’s readiness ahead of the tournament, motivating the Moroccan coaching staff to closely monitor the Samba team’s performance in preparation for the highly anticipated challenging encounter against the Atlas Lions.

The game saw an early injury to Brazilian player Wesley, which required his substitution by teammate Danilo in the eighteenth minute. Coach Hossam Hassan also made several substitutions in the second half to adjust the gameplay, bringing in Emam Ashour, Karim Hafez, Ibrahim Adel, Tarek Alaa, Ahmed Sayed “Zizo,” and Hamza Abdel Karim, but these changes did not help the Pharaohs alter the final outcome of the friendly match between the two teams.
