Badr Banoun Clarifies the Truth Behind the Raja and Wydad Sports Derby Events

Following the thrilling Raja Sports and Wydad derby, Raja team’s captain, Badr Banoun, issued important clarifications through his personal Instagram account, affirming that his recent statements were related to a previous misunderstanding among players, denying any intention to insult any club or its esteemed fans.

Banoun confirmed in his statement that he holds great respect and appreciation for Olympique Safi Club and all the city’s components and its loyal fans, emphasizing that he never intended to offend any party.

The player offered a sincere apology if his words were misunderstood or caused any embarrassment to anyone, reflecting his high sportsmanship spirit and his keenness on maintaining good relations between clubs and fans.

Badr Banoun’s clarifications came in the derby which ended with Wydad’s victory, putting an end to misinterpretations and easing the intensity of the controversy.

The Raja captain concluded his clarifications by confirming that he has taken the necessary legal actions against some individuals and pages that crossed the limits of constructive sports criticism, directing insults and defamation towards his family by posting unacceptable images and comments ethically, thus affirming his commitment to protecting his privacy and reputation.

Banoun stressed the importance of adhering to professional ethics when dealing with sports events.
