The Jordanian club Al-Wehdat has set its sights on player Mohamed Abu Zureiq, known by his nickname “Sharara,” a striker for Raja Athletic Club, as his future with his Moroccan club is awaited, whether through contract termination or loan before the start of the new football season. Al-Wehdat and Sharara are intensifying negotiations to sign him.
Reports indicate that Sharara is a priority for Al-Wehdat management due to his prior familiarity with the team’s environment, as he defended their colors two seasons ago, where he delivered impressive performances and contributed to winning the Jordan Cup title, making him a valuable addition to a team aiming to strengthen its squad.
Al-Wehdat officials are expected to begin seriously moving to negotiate with Raja and the player if the “Green” club officially decides to terminate Sharara’s contract or agrees to loan him. The Jordanian team sees Sharara, a national team player, as an important technical solution, especially after the departure of several of its prominent stars.
The biggest obstacle to completing the deal remains the financial value of Sharara’s contract with Raja, which extends for two seasons. This prompts Al-Wehdat to be cautious in any potential negotiations to ensure they align with its financial capabilities, with the possibility of submitting an offer to loan the player. It is worth noting that Raja has strengthened its squad with three players during the current summer transfer window: Shamseddine Qneidil, Ishaq Al-Zaydani, and Younes Al-Dahmani.
