As part of the security preparations for the Africa Champions League football final, the Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, Abdelatif Hammouchi, conducted an inspection visit on Sunday to Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
This visit came to review the security and safety protocol prepared by the Rabat Security Prefecture to ensure the security of the highly anticipated Africa Champions League final between the Royal Army team and South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns.
During his tour, Hammouchi examined the detailed security work plans adopted to secure the match. These plans included several aspects such as traffic and movement to ensure the smooth flow of fans and citizens to and from the stadium, in addition to the sports safety plan aimed at providing a safe environment for the competition.
The Rabat Security Prefect also inspected the human and logistical resources deployed to secure this important sporting event, including male and female officers from various specialized units, such as order maintenance teams, traffic and movement units, cavalry teams, and trained dogs for explosive detection.
These efforts come within the General Directorate’s commitment to securing the Africa Champions League final to the highest international standards.
The plan includes using an advanced network of internal stadium cameras, in addition to the national security’s drone system, and portable cameras used by police officers.
These modern technologies reflect the General Directorate of National Security’s commitment to providing the highest security levels using the latest technological means, and confirm Morocco’s readiness to host major sporting events and secure the Africa Champions League final in a manner that ensures everyone’s safety.
