Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech led his team, Wydad Athletic, to achieve a valuable victory against Hassania Agadir with a score of three goals to two in the match held today at the Mohammed V Complex in Casablanca, as part of the 21st round of the Professional League competitions.
Hakim Ziyech managed to score a hat-trick for Wydad that decided this crucial encounter.
Wydad started the match strongly looking to advance, successfully opening the scoring at the 33rd minute through Hakim Ziyech from a penalty kick, giving the red team the advantage.
Hassania Agadir responded quickly, as Ismail Hrila equalized at the 37th minute with a header that found the Wydad net, ending the first half in a positive draw.
In the second half, Wydad regained control, retaking the lead at the 59th minute via Ziyech from a penalty kick after the referee referred to the video assistant referee (VAR) to award the spot-kick.
Ziyech continued his remarkable performance in the match by scoring his third personal and team goal at the 68th minute with a powerful shot following a distinguished individual effort, completing a historic hat-trick and confirming Ziyech’s importance in securing the victory for Wydad.
In the final minutes, Hassania Agadir reduced the gap when Abdellah Ait Braim scored the second goal at the 88th minute from a direct free kick, but the remaining minutes saw no changes as the match ended with Wydad Athletic winning three goals to two.
With this victory, Wydad Athletic temporarily climbed to third place in the Professional League standings with 40 points, just one point behind the leader Maghreb Fassi, while Hassania Agadir’s tally remained at 20 points in twelfth place.
