Today, the management board of Wydad Athletic Club decided to dismiss Croatian Stefan Svitkovic, who had joined the team during the tenure of former coach Amin Benhashim and continued his duties as an assistant coach to the Frenchman Patrice Carteron.
This decision came as part of the club’s effort to restructure the technical staff.
Svitkovic undertook multiple technical roles, including organizing team lines, analyzing opponents’ performance, and developing players’ performance, in addition to supervising the training of injured players and those promoted from the hope team.
His departure makes the technical support staff for coach Hammouda Benchrifa entirely composed of Moroccan staff members.
Wydad is striving hard to regain its balance and achieve its first victory under the leadership of its new coach Hammouda Benchrifa.
The team is preparing to face Nahdat Zemamra next Sunday in the eighteenth round of the professional “Inwi” league.
It is worth mentioning that Wydad currently occupies fourth place in the standings with 31 points, after losing many points in previous rounds, while Nahdat Zemamra is in eleventh place with 16 points.
