The Ultras groups of Raja Sports Club, known as “Al-Magana,” today categorically denied the press reports about congratulating a specific political party following its winning of eight seats in the elections. This denial came to put an end to the statements made by the Secretary-General of the Unified Socialist Party, Jamal Al-Asri, who referred to the ultras’ initiative to congratulate his party.
The Ultras Raja groups affirmed in an official statement that “the statements do not concern us and we have no relation to them,” stressing their firm stance of not belonging to any political party or sympathizing with any current. They also clarified that all their positions and decisions are based on their own principles and are not influenced by any political backgrounds or motives whatsoever.
The groups strongly rejected any attempt to use their name or imply any political relationship or closeness with any party or group, affirming that “our position is firm, no one has guardianship over us, and there is no place for opportunists among our ranks.” Ultras Raja emphasize that their sole driving principle is supporting the team, and they do not allow their name to be exploited in any political context.
These developments confirm the independence of the Ultras Raja groups and their keenness not to be dragged into any political conflicts, reaffirming that their primary and final loyalty is to Raja Sports Club and its large fan base, away from any partisan agendas or narrow interests.
