Moroccan coach Walid Regragui has become the focus of attention for several football federations seeking new technical leadership before the 2026 World Cup finals, following the end of his tenure with the Moroccan national team last March.
According to media reports, the Ghana Football Association has included Regragui’s name among the candidates to take over as coach of the senior national team, succeeding coach Otto Addo, who recently left his position.
Interest is not limited to Ghana, as the Saudi Federation had previously expressed its desire to sign the Moroccan coach, amidst several national teams seeking to benefit from his experience, especially after the historic achievement he made with the “Atlas Lions” in the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
Despite the multiple offers, Regragui has not yet made his final decision, as he prefers to take his time and carefully study the available options to choose the project that aligns with his ambitions for the next phase.
