The Raja Athletic Club sent an official letter to the Refereeing Directorate, demanding to listen to the video assistant referee (VAR) recordings, following the defeat the team suffered against the Royal Army on Thursday.
This letter comes as a protest against refereeing decisions described by the club as “unfair,” confirming that they were denied a penalty kick and objecting to the validity of the Royal Army’s first goal.
Raja pointed to a breach of the “VAR” protocol after a goal in their favor was disallowed due to offside before the attack was completed, which surprised the club members and demanded explanations about the decision-making process and its comparison to the first goal scored by the military team.
The green team requests access to the VAR room recordings to obtain official explanations regarding the controversial refereeing decisions.
