The President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), Patrice Motsepe, arrived in Morocco from the Senegalese capital, Dakar, where he was received by Tarek Najem, the Secretary-General of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation.

Motsepe touched upon the events that accompanied the Africa Cup of Nations final, expressing his regret for what happened, considering that such incidents negatively affect the image of African football, which necessitates serious attention.
He also stressed the importance of adhering to the laws governing the game, highlighting the need to review and update certain texts to ensure greater transparency and fairness within continental competitions.
He concluded his remarks by affirming that the development of African football requires respect for legal regulations and the promotion of trust among its various components, serving the long-term interests of the game.
