Jürgen Klopp, the new coach of the German national team, admitted today the superiority of the French team in terms of player quality, but emphasized that “Die Mannschaft” has the ability to defeat the best teams worldwide through a distinctive style of play.
Klopp stated in a press conference: “Is Germany at the level of France? The answer is no. Do we have players like Dembélé and Mbappé? The answer is no, but we can still beat them.” He added that the focus should be on the German team itself and how to develop its football performance rather than comparing it with other teams.
Klopp confirmed that the German team is not first in the world ranking, as there are 11 teams ranked above it. However, he stressed the importance of adopting an effective style of play that enables Germany to achieve victories against those strong teams.
