The fans of Raja Club Athletic were surprised today by the deletion of all posts on their official social media pages, which were related to the highly anticipated Casablanca derby match against their traditional rival Wydad Athletic Club, as part of the 20th round of the professional league.
This sudden move came at the direct request of Jouad Al-Zayyat, Raja’s club president, who decided to stop what is known as the “clash campaign” in order to calm the atmosphere and focus on the sporting side of the confrontation.
Jouad Al-Zayyat stressed the importance of focusing on the decisive match and what serves the interests of the green team in this anticipated encounter.
Special sources confirmed that the green team’s digital staff deleted all posts at the direct request of Raja’s office.
The same sources revealed that Al-Zayyat requested not to respond to any posts issued by Wydad Athletic Club, emphasizing the necessity of directing all attention and efforts towards preparing for the match.
Raja Club Athletic is preparing to host Wydad Athletic Club at Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca this Saturday evening, starting at 8 PM.
