The management office of the Egyptian club Pyramids allocated a large financial reward to its players, including the Moroccan internationals Walid Karti and Mohamed Cheiby, amounting to 150,000 Egyptian pounds (approximately 30,000 Moroccan dirhams) for each player, following the team’s crowning with the Egypt Cup.
This generous grant came in recognition of the efforts made and the outstanding performance delivered by the players in the tournament.
Pyramids club won the Egypt Cup title, marking a significant achievement in the club’s journey, to which the Moroccan stars Walid Karti and Mohamed Cheiby contributed greatly.
This crowning came after winning against ZED team with two goals to one in the final match held last Sunday at Cairo International Stadium.
The goals for Pyramids were scored by Karim Hafez in the 45th minute and Festus Kaluanga in the 57th minute, while ZED scored their only goal in the 6th minute of stoppage time, but that was not enough to change the course of the match.
This title is the second in Pyramids club’s history in the Egypt Cup, as the team had previously won the last edition in 2024, confirming consistent performance and great ambition for the club. Currently, Pyramids holds second place in the Egyptian Premier League standings with 51 points, just two points behind the leader Zamalek who has 53 points.
Pyramids awaits Zamalek to falter in the final and decisive round of the championship phase, hoping to snatch the Egyptian league shield and add another title to its treasures this season which witnessed the brilliance of Walid Karti and Mohamed Cheiby.
