Star Achraf Hakimi expressed his great happiness today upon the arrival of the Morocco national team’s delegation to the United States of America, in preparation for the upcoming World Cup.
Hakimi affirmed his strong enthusiasm to defend his country’s colors in this grand football event, praising the warm reception the team received from the Moroccan community.
The European champion expressed his gratitude for the fan support, saying: “I am very happy to be here, and it’s wonderful to see the Moroccan community warmly welcoming us. The presence of Moroccans behind the national team wherever it goes is a great motivation for us to give our utmost and leave a remarkable mark in this participation.”
He emphasized that the fans’ support will be a strong motivator for the team to achieve the best results.
The captain of the Atlas Lions added that excitement grips him and his teammates to take on the tournament and deliver a commendable performance, despite being aware of the difficulty of the mission. He also pointed out that the team is ready to face the new challenges ahead.
Hakimi joined the Morocco national team’s delegation yesterday, Wednesday, at the Mohammed VI center in Maamora before heading to America, where his teammates welcomed him with a special celebration in recognition of his achievements.
The Morocco national team is preparing for a final friendly match against Norway next Sunday before the official meeting with Brazil.
Hakimi is expected to participate as a starter in this friendly match, which represents a critical opportunity for the national coach Mohamed Wahbi to determine the starting lineup that will compete in the awaited World Cup challenge—a key moment to test the readiness of the Morocco national team.
