Al Sadd Club won the Qatari League title today, confirming its merit in retaining the title for the third consecutive season, with the participation of its Moroccan star and former captain, Romain Saïss. This victory strengthens Al Sadd’s position as a dominant force in Qatari football.
The title was secured after Al Sadd’s thrilling 3-2 victory over Al Shamal in the 22nd and final round of the Qatari League competition. The match witnessed a strong performance from Al Sadd players to ensure ending the season with a win.
With this result, Al Sadd raised its points tally to 45, leading by five points over the runner-up Al Shamal. This is the 19th title in the club’s history, further enhancing its record as the most decorated club in the Qatari League.
Al Sadd relies heavily on its foreign professionals, including Romain Saïss, to achieve a distinguished participation in the upcoming season of the AFC Champions League and to reclaim the continental title it has won twice before in its history, as the only Qatari club to have achieved this feat.
