Coach Hamoud Benshrifa will lead today, Thursday, the first training session of Wydad Athletic Club, succeeding the French Patrice Cartieron, from whom the club has parted ways.
This step comes after the club completed all procedures related to Cartieron’s departure and signed contracts with Benshrifa, Oajou, and also Tarek Jarmouni as the goalkeepers’ coach.
These changes in the technical management followed a series of negative results achieved by the team under Cartieron’s leadership, where he failed to secure the expected victories.
Currently, Wydad ranks fourth in the professional league standings with 31 points, after dropping points in postponed matches that would have allowed them to lead the table, which is topped by Maghreb Fassi with 37 points.
