The management of Al Ahly Club has begun finalizing the list of foreign players in preparation for the upcoming football season, with a trend to keep some players and study the future of others after the end of loan periods or for technical and financial reasons concerning the Moroccan quartet of Al Ahly.
Sources close to Al Ahly confirm that the technical staff has settled on the continuation of the Moroccan international Achraf Bencharki, after the idea of letting him go was previously considered.
The management retreated from this decision after being convinced of the strong addition the player could bring to the team’s attacking system.
The club is also inclined to keep the services of the Moroccan left-back Youssef Belammri, who has shown outstanding performance that satisfied the coach and officials, making him a strong candidate to continue his journey with the Egyptian team next season.
On another front, Al Ahly management is moving towards marketing defender Achraf Dari, currently on loan to the Swedish club Kalmar, during the upcoming transfer period.
This decision comes as part of the club’s desire to rearrange its priorities and the team’s lineup.
Regarding the fate of Reda Slim, it remains open to all possibilities, despite the good levels he showed during his loan period at the Royal Army Club.
Al Ahly currently has nine foreign players, including the Moroccan quartet: Bencharki, Belammri, Dari, and Reda Slim. A final decision on the future of these players is expected within the next few weeks to determine the final squad for the new season.
