The football transfer market witnessed a notable development today with the stumbling of Faca’s transfer, the star of the Wydad Athletic team, to Saudi Riyadh Club. This development brings the player Ramiro Faca back to his Moroccan team, where he is scheduled to join Wydad’s training by the end of this week, preparing for the start of the new football season.
Negotiations between the two clubs stopped after a disagreement over the payment method of the deal’s value. Wydad Athletic, which still has a valid contract with Faca, insisted on receiving the total amount of the deal in one payment. On the other hand, Saudi Riyadh Club proposed to pay the amount in installments, which led to freezing the talks between the two parties and failing to reach a final agreement.
Meanwhile, Wydad Athletic continues its preparations for the upcoming season under the supervision of the Portuguese coach Paulo Sérgio Brito. The training sessions have seen the return of the team’s top stars, including captain Yahya Jebran, left-back Yahya Atiyyallah, and playmaker Ayman Hassouni, which strengthens the team after the stumble of Faca’s transfer.
It is worth mentioning that Wydad Athletic finished last season of the professional league “Inwi” in fifth place, earning 43 points. This record came after 13 wins, 4 draws, and 13 losses, and the team hopes to achieve better results in the next season with the completion of its squad.
