Bouchiba Limbaraki has joined the technical staff of head coach Amin Benhashim as an assistant coach at the Egyptian Modern Sport team, in a professional step representing the coach’s first experience outside his native country. Benhashim chose Limbaraki to be his primary assistant within his supporting staff, which also includes a second Egyptian assistant coach, reflecting the club’s aspirations to achieve positive results in local competitions.
Limbaraki has a rich coaching career in the Moroccan professional league, having managed many clubs, most recently the Olympic Dcheira team. This accumulated experience will undoubtedly add value to the Modern Sport technical staff, especially since it is alongside Amin Benhashim, who led Wydad to a series of notable victories last season, achieving 9 wins out of 12 matches before leaving the team.
This experience marks a qualitative leap in Limbaraki’s career, as he ventures into Egyptian football for the first time, armed with his extensive expertise. Benhashim is currently ranked as the second Moroccan coach to take the lead in the Egyptian Premier League, after Hussein Ammouta, who leads Al Ahly. This phenomenon reflects the growing confidence in Moroccan coaching competencies in Arab championships.
Modern Sport has started its new era under Benhashim’s leadership promisingly, achieving a big 6-0 victory in a friendly match against a second-division team in the Egyptian league. This win provides a positive indication of early harmony within the team and the new technical staff’s ability to make a difference. The technical staff also includes Zouhair Laroubi as goalkeepers’ coach and Tayeb Lakrani as fitness coach, completing a comprehensive team to support the club’s journey.
