Wydad Athletic Club today denied media reports about the loan transfer of its player Suleiman Mwaleimo to Tanzanian club Simba, confirming that the player is still under contract with the team and that the club has not reached any agreement in this regard.
This denial comes to put an end to rumors that spread in recent hours about the future of the Moroccan player.
The Casablanca-based club clarified in an official statement published on its social media accounts that the statement issued by Tanzanian Simba regarding the loan of Suleiman Mwaleimo is unfounded. Wydad emphasized that it has not signed any official loan or transfer contract for the player, confirming that Mwaleimo is a key part of the team’s plans for the upcoming football season.
Suleiman Mwaleimo is considered one of the key players relied upon by Wydad’s coaching staff, as he is part of the club’s sporting project.
The player will return to participate in group training in preparation for the next season, after spending last season on loan at Tanzanian Simba, which expressed a desire to permanently acquire the player, but Wydad’s management refused due to their need for his services.
Through this statement, Wydad Athletic confirms its commitment to the team’s stability and the return of its main players, especially given the new phase the club is going through under the leadership of the new president, Al-Assri.
The upcoming period is expected to witness important signings to strengthen the ranks of the Red Castle, aligning with the club’s goals to return to winning titles after a period of absence. Wydad is preparing to finalize the identity of the team’s new coach.
