The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) today unveiled the “Fan Identity Card” for the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals, a move aimed at enhancing the fan experience during this highly anticipated edition hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
This card, announced by FIFA, will be free and available to all ticket holders for the World Cup matches, granting fans access to exclusive digital content and experiences throughout the tournament days.
FIFA confirmed that the “Fan Identity Card” will be physical and customizable, and can be collected from fan information centers located immediately after entering the 16 stadiums hosting the matches.
It was also explained that by tapping the card via smartphones, fans will be able to open a comprehensive digital experience including official World Cup content, such as augmented reality video messages, opportunities to customize official merchandise, as well as contests, prizes, and information about the stadiums and match atmospheres.
Regarding the schedule for the Moroccan participation, the “Atlas Lions” will start their journey in the tournament on June 13th by facing Brazil at 6 PM local time (23:00 Morocco time) in the first round at the New York-New Jersey stadium.
The Moroccan team will then face Scotland on June 19th at the same time in Boston.
The group stage will conclude on June 24th with a match against Haiti at the Atlanta stadium.
The “Fan Identity Card” aims to enrich the fan experience, especially for the Moroccan audience, which is expected to attend in large numbers after the historic achievement at the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
