Zuheir Dari, father of Moroccan defender Ashraf Dari, confirmed that his son prefers to continue his professional career outside the Moroccan league, either in Europe or the Gulf, amidst growing speculation about his future with the Egyptian club Al Ahly.
In a television statement on MBC Masr 2 channel, the player’s father explained that Ashraf Dari is performing impressively with the Swedish club Kalmar, where he is currently playing on loan from Al Ahly. He noted that the Swedish club has expressed its desire to activate the clause to purchase the player’s contract permanently, reflecting Dari’s good performance.
Zuheir Dari added that Ashraf Dari has other offers from European and Gulf clubs, emphasizing that the final decision regarding his future belongs to Al Ahly management, as they are the holders of the player’s contract. He affirmed their respect for Wydad Athletic Club but stressed that Ashraf Dari is not currently considering returning to the Moroccan league, as his ambition is directed towards playing professionally abroad.
The player’s father also stated that the family has not yet entered official negotiations with Al Ahly officials regarding Ashraf Dari’s future, expressing his great confidence in the Egyptian club’s management to handle this matter in the best interest of all parties. He concluded by confirming that all offers Ashraf Dari receives will be presented to Al Ahly management, respecting the contract that binds him to the Egyptian club.
