Imran Talay led the Moroccan Under-17 national team to a valuable and thrilling victory over their Ethiopian counterparts with a score of (2-1) in the match held this evening, Saturday, as part of the second round of group stage matches in the Africa Cup for this age category.

This win strengthens the Atlas Lions’ position at the top of the group and confirms the team’s fighting spirit.

The first half saw relative dominance by the Ethiopian team, who managed to open the scoring in the 23rd minute through player Kaso, putting the Moroccan team under pressure.

The “Atlas Cubs” tried hard to equalize by launching successive attacks, but these attempts did not translate into goals, ending the first half with Morocco trailing by one goal. At the start of the second half, Imran Talay entered the field for Morocco with a different spirit and greater determination.

Only three minutes later, player Mohammed Amin Mostash scored the equalizer in the 48th minute, giving his team a significant morale boost.

As the match approached its end, in a decisive moment, Imran Talay scored Morocco’s second goal in the dying moments, securing the three points for his country.

Thus, the Moroccan team tops Group A with 4 points, tied with Egypt in second place with the same points.

Meanwhile, Tunisia and Ethiopia are tied in third and fourth places with one point each, making the competition for qualification intense in the final round. This outstanding performance by Imran Talay signals a promising future for Moroccan football.
