The management of Lusail Club, Qatar, has entered advanced negotiations with Moroccan international Romain Saïss, currently a player with Al Sadd, aiming to sign him during the upcoming summer transfer window in preparation for the new season of the Bank Doha Stars League.
This step is part of the club’s efforts to strengthen its ranks with experienced players after its recent promotion to the spotlight league, and it reflects Lusail’s ambition to make a strong start among the top teams.
According to the Qatari newspaper “Al-Raya,” Lusail officials seek to benefit from the considerable experience Romain Saïss possesses, both internationally with the Moroccan national team and in Qatari league competitions.
Saïss is considered a strong addition to the defense line, given his high defensive skills and remarkable leadership, making him the ideal choice to reinforce the newly promoted team’s defense.
The same source indicated that Romain Saïss’s contract with Al Sadd Club ends at the conclusion of the current season.
While the “Al-Za’eem” management does not intend to renew the player’s contract, this opens the door widely for Saïss to move to a new experience within the Qatari league. He is expected to attract significant interest from several clubs, but Lusail seems to be the closest to securing his services.
