The national coach Mohamed Wahbi concluded his European tour with great focus on following the Spanish Clasico between Barcelona and Real Madrid, aiming to assess the readiness of player Ibrahim Diaz before announcing the final squad of the national team participating in the 2026 World Cup, which will be hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada during June and July of next year.

This tour comes within Wahbi’s endeavor to strengthen the national team with the best elements to ensure a respectable representation in this major global football event.

A responsible source revealed that Mohamed Wahbi will return to Morocco to participate in the opening of the Africa U-17 Cup, which will kick off next Wednesday.

The national team will play its opening match against Tunisia at the Moulay Hassan Complex, before the official announcement of the final national team roster, which will be sent to the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) next week.

These steps reflect Wahbi’s commitment to developing Moroccan football at all levels, starting from youth categories to the senior national team.

The national coach Mohamed Wahbi has followed many professional players in European clubs with the aim of injecting new blood and renewing the Moroccan national team roster, reflecting his strategic vision to build a strong team capable of competing at the highest levels.

This stage requires doubled efforts to evaluate talents and effectively integrate them to enhance the overall team performance.

It is worth noting that the 2026 World Cup draw placed the national football team in Group C, alongside the teams of Brazil, Haiti, and Scotland, indicating strong matches and major challenges awaiting Mohamed Wahbi and his team.
