The Central Disciplinary Committee of the National Professional Football League issued today, Friday, its strict disciplinary decisions following the riots that accompanied the match between Royal Army and Raja Athletic.

These decisions came after a thorough review of the reports from the referee and the match delegate.

The committee confirmed that the severity of the incidents, which included riots and property damage at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex in Rabat, in addition to recorded injuries, necessitated imposing deterrent penalties on both teams to ensure such events do not recur.

The penalties imposed on Royal Army included playing five matches behind closed doors, while Raja Athletic was punished with three matches without spectators. These sanctions take immediate effect.

The committee also imposed a financial fine of 200,000 dirhams (20 million centimes) on each team due to unacceptable behavior by their fans. The committee indicated that the concerned parties reserve the right to appeal according to the applicable legal procedures.
