Young Moroccan international Yasser Zabetri, a player for French club Stade Rennais, is facing a new turning point in his professional career, as the club’s management has decided to allow him to leave on loan during the upcoming summer transfer window. This decision comes after the player’s difficulty adapting to the atmosphere of the French league and his limited playing time with the team.
Zabetri joined Rennes for 10 million euros from Portuguese club Famalicão, but he has only played 26 minutes since his arrival, reflecting the integration challenges he has faced.
The change in Rennes’ coaching staff directly influenced this decision, with coach Franck Haise preferring to rely on players who have immediate physical and tactical readiness.
Despite the great potential Zabetri showed in youth categories, he has not yet reached the required level to participate regularly in the first team.
Therefore, the loan option is considered a strategic step by Stade Rennais’ management, aiming not only to protect their financial investment in the player but also to give him the opportunity to gain necessary experience and participate regularly away from the intense competition in the team, which may contribute to improving his level and making a strong comeback in the future.
