Reports from Spanish media indicate that Morocco has recently intensified its efforts to recruit dual-nationality players as part of a clear plan to strengthen the national team’s ranks with young and qualified members.
This accelerated approach has put noticeable pressure on FIFA’s nationality change system after several transfers were registered within a short period.
The newspaper “Marca” pointed out that this new dynamic reflects an organized approach relying on a careful selection of talents. Morocco managed to incorporate several players in a short time, which reflects the effectiveness of the adopted policy in this field.
The same sources clarified that the success achieved by the Moroccan national team in recent years was not accidental but resulted from continuous work and a clear vision, especially after the historic achievement in the 2022 World Cup, which marked a turning point in Morocco’s football trajectory internationally.
In this context, coach Mohamed Wahbi emphasized that Morocco’s ambitions go beyond just hosting the 2030 World Cup; they also aim to compete for the 2026 edition title, reflecting strong confidence surrounding the national football project.
This project heavily relies on in-country training, with the Mohammed VI Football Academy standing out as a key pillar in preparing players capable of excellence, having contributed to the emergence of several shining names as well as a new generation of rising talents.
Concurrently, Morocco continues expanding its scouting network across Europe, targeting several countries to discover and recruit dual-nationality players.
The recent list included a group of young players expected to play an important role in the future of the national team, within a vision aimed at ensuring continuity and competing at the highest levels.
