The intense rivalry between the two Italian football giants, Milan and Roma, reignites as they vie for the services of the young Swedish star Yasin Ayari, midfielder at English club Brighton. This growing interest in the player comes as both clubs aim to strengthen their teams with young, talented players capable of making a difference in the near future.
Italian press reports revealed close monitoring by several Serie A clubs of the Swedish international, who has recently stood out remarkably. Although Roma had previously made an offer to sign Ayari that was rejected, the capital club has not abandoned the idea of signing him, while Milan has entered the negotiations strongly, seeking to snatch this talent before his 23rd birthday next week.
Yasin Ayari’s contract with his current club Brighton runs until summer 2027, with a clause allowing the English club to extend it for an additional year. This contractual situation may open the door for Italian clubs to negotiate the transfer fee, hoping to lower Brighton’s financial demands, especially since the player has not had enough opportunities to fully prove himself with the first team.
Milan officials see Yasin Ayari as the ideal successor to Croatian star Luka Modrić in the team’s midfield, considering that Arden Gjashari has yet to secure a regular starting position or leave a clear mark. It is worth noting that Ayari joined Brighton in January 2023 and had loan spells with Coventry City and Blackburn Rovers to gain experience.
