The training sessions of the Moroccan national team, held at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Maâmora, recently saw the addition of promising new players, reflecting coach Mohamed Wahbi’s ongoing approach to supporting young talent. This move aligns with the coach’s vision of giving young players the opportunity to experience the senior national team environment and gain the necessary experience to compete at the highest levels in the future.
The two new players are Elyes Hasni, who plays professionally for French club Nice, and Ismail Baouf, a player from Dutch club Cambuur. The duo participated in the first training session of the national team held on Monday evening, having been called up from the Olympic team list for close monitoring by the senior team’s technical staff, highlighting Wahbi’s focus on developing the second tier of players.
Wahbi continues to implement his strategy aimed at allowing young players to integrate into the senior team’s atmosphere to refine their skills and boost their confidence. This policy helps bring them closer to their experienced teammates and provides a favorable environment to gain the necessary experience to gradually transition to the senior squad.
On Monday evening, the national squad underwent a light training session focused on removing fatigue and restoring fitness after most players joined the preparatory camp. The Moroccan team is preparing to face their Gabonese counterparts next Friday at Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat as part of their preparation for upcoming competitions.
