The board of directors of Maghreb Sportif Fassi Club announced today the resignation of Mohamed Bouzouba from the presidency of the sports association, following a meeting he had with the Club’s Council of Elders. Bouzouba’s resignation from Maghreb Fassi is for personal reasons, but it raises questions about the future of the club and its development plans. This decision places the club before a new challenge in its journey, especially with Bouzouba continuing his duties as the main investor in the sports company.
The important meeting was attended by Mohamed Bouzouba, Omar Benis, president of the sports company, and Ali Benjelloun, vice president of the association. The discussion focused on strengthening institutional work within the club and continuing the implementation of the Maghreb Fassi development project. Bouzouba confirmed that this departure will not affect his commitment to the club and its project, pointing out that he will continue to follow all stages of the project as a major investor.
The second phase of the project is scheduled to continue according to the set program, with Bouzouba monitoring the work of the sports company and its management under the leadership of Omar Benis, aiming to achieve the set goals and meet the ambitions of Maghreb Fassi fans. In a gesture of appreciation for his role, the Club’s Council of Elders called for appointing Mohamed Bouzouba as president of the Council of Elders of Maghreb Sportif Fassi, in recognition of his efforts and ongoing commitment.
Until the electoral general assembly is convened and its date set, Ali Benjelloun will temporarily assume the presidency of the sports association. This procedure is based on Article 23 of the association’s statutes, which stipulates that the first deputy shall temporarily replace the president in case of vacancy. The Club’s Council of Elders renewed its support for the board of directors and the upcoming phase, confirming Ali Benjelloun’s continued leadership of the association until a new president is elected.
