Raja Athletic Club has today completed the transfer deal of Younes El Dehamani from Ittihad Touarga, a significant move that cost the club’s treasury 600 million centimes, to strengthen the ranks of the Green Eagles with a distinguished player in the professional league. This deal is the culmination of lengthy negotiations during which Raja raised its financial offer to secure the player’s services, demonstrating the club’s serious intent to bolster its squad for the upcoming football season.
The negotiations between the two parties were not easy; Raja initially offered 500 million centimes before increasing it to 600 million centimes, which was eventually accepted by Ittihad Touarga. The deal also included a clause entitling Ittihad Touarga to 25 percent of the value of any future transfer of Younes El Dehamani from Raja, a condition accepted by the Green Club to ensure the completion and finalization of the deal.
It is worth noting that Ittihad Touarga preferred Raja Athletic’s offer over other professional offers that came to its star from prestigious African clubs such as Sudanese Al-Hilal and Egyptian National Bank, which amounted to 700 thousand dollars. This choice reflects Ittihad Touarga’s confidence in Raja as a major club participating in African competitions, which enhances El Dehamani’s chances of shining and achieving his dream of European professionalism later.
With this, Younes El Dehamani becomes the third signing Raja Athletic makes during the current transfer window, joining his teammates Chemseddine Kandeel and Issaak Al Zidani, forming a strong addition to the Green Eagles squad. This signing reflects the club’s desire to build a strong team capable of competing for domestic and continental titles and delivering an exceptional season for its faithful fans.
