The shining star Lamine Jamal was crowned the best player in the Spanish football league for the 2025-2026 season, crowning an exceptional season he delivered with his team Barcelona, where he played an effective role in securing the La Liga title.
The young player, who is 18 years old, received this prestigious award granted by the Spanish League Association in cooperation with its official partner EA Sports, succeeding his Brazilian teammate Rafinha, who had won it in the previous football season.
Despite the physical challenges Lamine Jamal faced, including recurring groin pains during the first half of the season, he firmly established himself as one of Barcelona’s key pillars.
He played a decisive role in the team’s offensive line, especially during Rafinha’s absence and the decline in scoring effectiveness of Polish striker Robert Lewandowski, confirming the importance of his contributions that made him deserve the title of Lamine Jamal, Best Player in the Spanish League.
Individually, the Spanish international delivered an impressive season by scoring 16 goals and providing 12 assists in 28 matches in the Spanish League.
These figures made him the player with the highest contribution to goals within the Catalan club, which had a profound impact on leading the team to win the league title.
Jamal continues to solidify his status as one of the most prominent emerging talents globally, after finishing second in the Ballon d’Or rankings last year.
Although the spotlight is strongly on his participation in the upcoming World Cup finals in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, he suffered a muscle injury in his left thigh at the end of the season, causing some concern but not diminishing the fans’ hopes to see him shine again after Lamine Jamal became the best player in the Spanish League.
