The young Moroccan star Ayoub Bouaddi continues to attract the attention of the biggest European clubs thanks to his impressive performances this season, putting his club Lille in a strong negotiating position. Olivier Letang, the club president, emphasized the importance of keeping the player within the team, pointing out that Lille represents the ideal environment for his football development at present, especially with guaranteed regular participation in the Champions League.
The Lille management considers renewing Ayoub Bouaddi’s contract until 2029 to give them an advantage, particularly with their vision of a promising future for the 18-year-old player. Letang stresses that the main goal is to retain the player, who is considered one of the club’s brightest young talents, confirming that his opportunity for regular play and participation in a competition like the Champions League is an integral part of his professional career.
Amid talks of offers reaching 50 million euros to sign the player, Letang believes this amount does not reflect Bouaddi’s true value. He told press reports that the club will not consider any offer to let the player leave unless it is “very exceptional,” clearly indicating that transferring Ayoub Bouaddi from Lille would require a huge financial deal far exceeding current expectations.
The club’s efforts are currently focused on sitting down with the player and his agent to discuss his future, without compromising the club’s firm stance rejecting the easy release of young talents. This approach confirms Lille’s keenness to build a strong team for the future, emphasizing that Ayoub Bouaddi is a cornerstone of this project and that retaining him is a top priority for the French team.
